Rochelle "Shelly" Soffer has spent her career inside Broward County classrooms — not in boardrooms. It's time our schools had a seat at the table filled by someone who earned it at the front of the class.
As a dedicated educator, Shelly has seen firsthand the challenges our students and teachers face every day: overcrowded classrooms, outdated resources, and policies made by people who have never written a lesson plan.
